One of the fun things about having a web directory such as Best of the Web, and more importantly, a search box, is that you get to see the "flavors of the moment" that folks are typing in -- in other words, you can tell what's going on in the world by what people are searching for. This week, quite a few are searching for Keeley Hazell, with various combinations of her name and "sex tape". Yes Virginia, apparently video has been "leaked" of yet another celebrity or model gettin' it awn. Having nothing better to do
I decided to go to good ol' wikipedia to read about this person whom, quite frankly, I never heard of before. Turns out she's "big" in the UK :). Even more interesting is that, according to Wikipedia, she's a big conservationist:
Environmental work
Hazell was hailed by the Conservative Party in December 2006 as an "environmental hero" for her campaigns in The Sun, giving environmental tips such as turning lights off during sex and using digital cameras. She was named alongside the likes of David Attenborough, Prince Charles and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Tories' list. Exxon Mobil and the government of Iceland were criticised for their anti-green actions.[10]
Are you kidding me? If turning off the lights during sex makes you an environmental hero then I weep for the state of poliltics in the UK today. I guess David Attenborough, Prince Charles, and Ahnold all don't like doing it with the lights on
. And the use of digital cameras? What's that about?... She says, "I insist my sexy pics are taken by digital camera, so invest in one. Film processing and developing uses toxic chemicals."
Well, good. Now I can rest easy knowing the future of the earth is secure. I know, every little bit helps. Or does it? What about all you fools out there recycling thinking its good for the environment, when in most cases the plants that do the recycling put out more harmful emissions worse for the environment then if you just tossed that plastic water bottle into the garbage. When you're done watching the Keeley sex tape, go watch Penn & Teller debunk recycling. Its a real eye opener.
