Although I haven't reached official developer status yet and am only submitting patches to the Subtext Project, apparently I am still obligated to buy at least one copy of a forthcoming book authored, in part, by the venerable Phil Haack. Phil, as you should know by now, is the esteemed founder and leader of Subtext. News from the trenches reveals many great things to come for subtext, including the ability to have multiple authors, a plug-in framework, the ability to post via email, and lots of tweaks and bug fixes (some of which being the direct result of yours truly). So pretty cool being one degree separated now (using the Six Degress of Separation model) from a bonafide author. With my literary talents, it does not seem all that far-fetched for me to embark on a similar journey, though I would first need a topic. The next time a persepective is needed from someone who contributes part time to Subtext and plows steadfastly onward full time for the Best of the Web Directory, perhaps they will come knocking on my door.
