Well I installed Windows Live Writer, which connects to my subtextblog via the MetaBlogAPI.  So now, any application that supports the MetaBlogAPI I can install.  This one you click a button to insert tags and it asks you who you want to insert tags for.  There's delicious and flickr and icerocket and technorati, among others.  So I chose Technorati, put a few keywords in the text box, and then voila, it put the text "Technorati Tags:" with links to technorati for each keyword.  I was hoping for one of those cool "Share this post: " things that links to digg etc (not that anyone is really "digg"in' my blog... yet)

At the very least trying out new technology helps the programmer in me get ideas, while the kid in me enjoys the sugar frosted side.

It also appears there's an invisible box around the technorati tags which lets me add additional tags to it in the sidebar.  I should also point out that there's the text near the bottom "Properties not supported by this weblog have been disabled."  So your mileage may vary.  Not that it takes extra work to login on the site itself to post, but this tag feature is pretty cool.  It also looks like it may support setting the date of posts into the future (the merits of which is another debate entirely)
